The Assistant Undersecretary for the Media and External Relations Sector at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Nasser Al-Mutairi, affirmed the ministry's keenness to support various Islamic bodies based on the ministry's strategy and vision of leadership and excellence in Islamic work.
This came during a meeting in his office at the Ministry, President of the Academy of Imams in America, Dr. Ahmed Abu Seif, and the delegation accompanying him.
The meeting touched upon topics of common interest and prospects for cooperation in various Islamic fields.
Al-Mutairi praised the efforts of the Imams Academy in America and all Islamic institutions spread in many countries of the world, which play their full role in serving the Muslim communities in them.
He pointed out that the responsibility that falls on these institutions is great, especially that their role is entrusted to clarifying the concept of true and moderate Islam, based on the Almighty’s saying, “And thus We made you a middle nation.”
In turn, the President of the Academy of Imams in America, Dr. Ahmed Abu Seif, the active role of the State of Kuwait in general and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in particular in supporting Muslim communities in the world and promoting moderation in Muslim societies.
He explained: The Academy seeks with all its energies to create a generation of preachers that comprehend the texts of the Book and the Six and understand its reality, its surroundings and its needs in a way that contributes to serving the Muslim community in North America.
He added: The Academy is always trying to raise the level of religious discourse in Western society to address contemporary life issues that affect the lives of Muslim communities in the United States in particular and the West in general.
